The Race Cars category encompases mostly
Formula One racers but also any other car that looks like it would be
primarily for racing. The flagships of this line include a pair
of huge, nearly identical 1:8 scale racers, and another Ferrari F1
racer on the same scale. These have accurate 4 wheel independent
suspension and V-10 engines. A smaller, 1:10 scale Ferrari F1 is
also available. Many smaller models are also included with fewer
features. The alternate model of 8880 is also a very good quality
F1 racer and is the only one with a transmission.
My favorite is probably the
8458 Silver
Champion, but you can't go wrong with any of the 1:8 scale
racers.
8440 is also excellent.
Unfortunately, all of the large scale racers seem to have very poor
quality sticker sheets which crack and disintigrate after less than a
year, even with no sun exposure.
